Fairfield Historical Society pays tribute to the unique chronology of the town of Fairfield. Its research library houses manuscripts, letters, and other documents from Fairfield's centuries-old past, and its museum features historical artifacts ranging from grandfather clocks to rocking chairs to paintings. The Society resides in the heart of the town, about five miles to the south and west of Bridgeport, near St. Thomas Cemetery.
